In 2020, Domeniile Franco – Romane was taken over by a group of Romanian investors with a solid tradition in viticulture, who intend to continue the story of the winery in Săhăteni and to share the joy of Romanian wines with good wine enthusiasts.
Mihnea Mihalache and Mihnea Olariu, the two young investors, propose a new vision for Domeniile Franco – Romane. Although the winery is in full rebranding process, the new investors wish to honor the work of the founder, Denis Thomas, and to gradually be present on the market of specialized stores, physical and online in the country and abroad.
Future plans include the transition of the entire vineyard to BIO cultivation and the establishment of a charging station for electric cars with solar energy from the panels already installed on the building’s roof.
In addition to the renovation and updating work initiated from personal funds, the investors intend to increase the storage and vinification capacity of the winery through European co-financing.
